Personally, I think Kovalev is a better fighter than GGG. But where it comes to the point I was making. The notion that Ward ducked GGG, to to on and fight a guy that's considered a tougher fight is ridiculous. If you wanna say Ward was chirp'n when legally, he couldn't even fight. Cool. But to say he ducked GGG is pure fanboy nonsense. Max Kellerman is the biggest GGG fanboy alive, and admitted that it was GGG's side that didn't want the Ward fight. At least not right now.

Right now? You mean when he had settled ppv fight and had potential fight with canelo/cotto?
If you go back to 2013 they had a meeting with HBO, and Ward said NO. Then he had legal issues, then he said he needed 2 tuneup fight.

What I don't understand is why GGG has stepped aside and stepped aside and stepped aside for whomever the WBC trinket holder was. But it wasn't OK for Ward, who's been very inactive, to take an interim fight or two. I mean, Kovalev accepted the deal and has beem fighting much better comp than GGG along the way.

Just curious. Why does Max Kellerman, HBO employee and GGG fanboy claim it was GGG's side that didn't want the fight if it were the Ward side? Seems kinda bass ackwards to me.
