This is true. But, celebrities and athletes have to understand when they say something they view as honest (especially if it's something dealing with sexuality, religion or race) that a good chunk of the public might disagree. People have the right to change their opinion about you if you're popping off with something controversial.

No doubt. The problem isn't that people disagree with their views, it's that the celebrities and athletes end up losing out on income maliciously because people find out they are human and aren't perfect.
