For all of floyd's accomplishments the thing I find most fascinating is the HOF fighters ODH, SHane, Manny, Cotto, Kosta, refused to fight him when they were prime. This is the first and only time we've seen this with a guy that doesn't have one punch KO power.Comment

You should add, he is the only fighter in history to win The Ring title in 2 different weight classes in the same year (2013).
He is the only fighter in the history of Ring rankings, to win The Ring title back to back (win it, drop it, then the next fighter who won it again was himself.)Comment

Hatton was ring champ and Gatti was ranked #1=factFirst off, what does the top 3 bold have anything to do with being the most accomplished boxer of all times? ESPN fighter of the year? Is this for real?
Second of all, I'd like to know what you were smoking when you said Arturo Gatti was the #1 LWW in 2005? Because that was between Hatton and Tszuy, and Gatti had just beaten some Italien bum for a title.
With regards to Baldomir, I'm sure most people would agree that whilst he was lineal champ, guys like Shane Mosley and especially Antonio Margarito was the better fighter.
Baldo was lineal champ=factComment

why would he fight him at 155? Canelo did not start this 155 **** until after Floyd.fight before he weighed in at 153.5Let's keep posting facts not hateful responses!
Went to jail
Said he wants to fight guys at their best weight, doesn't fight Saul Alvarez at 155
Took IV when he shouldn't have
Hit at least one woman
Failed to make contracted weight when he returned from retirement
Like him or not.... FACTSComment

When you really look at it, Floyd is a great athlete in general. If you look at other sports the passed 2 decades, very few people can compare in their respective sports as far as accomplishments and have stood at the top of their game an entire career. Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan come to mind, Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Serena Williams, A-Rod, Albert Pujols etc. But comparatively I think only Kobe , Brady, & Duncan are "possibly" more accomplished.Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is by far the most accomplished boxer of all time. He is also the least hit fighter in Compubox History.
Here are some facts:
Undefeated five-division champion.
12-time world champion.
Won the lineal championship in four different weight classes.
Defeated more world champions than any other fighter in the history of boxing.
26-0 (10 KOs) in world title fights.
6x Best Fighter ESPY Award.
3x BWAA's Fighter of the Year.
2x Ring magazine Fighter of the Year.
2x ESPN Fighter of the Year.
Retired as boxing's pound-for-pound king.
he is the only fighter in history to win The Ring title in 2 different weight classes in the same year (2013).
He is the only fighter in the history of Ring rankings, to win The Ring title back to back (win it, drop it, then the next fighter who won it again was himself.)
List of fighters of who were on the Ring's Pound for Pound list at the time Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought them:
Juan Manuel Marquez (#2 P4P)
Manny Pacquiao (#3 P4P)
Shane Mosley (#3 P4P)
Diego Corrales (#5 P4P)
Ricky Hatton (#8 P4P)
Saul Alvarez (#9 P4P)
Robert Guerrero (#9 P4P)
List of fighters of who were considered the best in their division at the time Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought them:
Genaro Hernandez (#1 SFW)
Diego Corrales (#1 SFW)
Jose Luis Castillo (#1 LW)
Arturo Gatti (#1 LWW)
Carlos Baldomir (#1 WW)
Miguel Cotto (#1 LMW)
Saul Alvarez (#1 LMW)

This is like comparing lance Armstrong to his competition.
Or
Like comparing the 2000s NFL patriots going h2h with the Superbowl 1 packers in 2004. Age don't mean shht.
Lots of has been and hand picked fights.
Lots of fighters in history run through the exact same resume. Floyd is overatedLast edited by Jc8804; 02-19-2016, 11:56 AM.Comment

Yeah man there's a new Michael Jordan every year even though he was completely on PEDS, and clearly Kobe and LeBron represent Pacquiao as basketball closureComment
