    He isn't HIGHLY skilled.

His wins aren't executed in impressive fashion.

Been exposed a couple of times. Huge potential for unreliability down the road.

Did Al simply fall in love after Dani upset Matty and Amir by kicking their azzes

Garcia has accomplished more than the other Haymon fighters @ 147: Amir, Thurman, Porter, etc
From a business standpoint Haymon is trying to appeal to a certain demographic. Danny Garcia appeals to the East Coast Urban crowd (so to speak) and its a crowd that was forgotten about in the sport of boxing for a while. It makes a lot of financial sense considering they have done well in NY and east of the Mississippi and also considering GBP and TR kinda have a lock on the West and Southwest demographic. Basically to sum it up, people/fans want someone to cheer and root for that they can relate to and Danny Garcia gives that to the East Coast.

DSG has something very important in boxing, he knows how to talk and what to say on the mic, he's humble, he has a good story and he has good work ethic (doesn't miss weight, always stays in shape), he's reliable, in a sport with so many unreliable people. It's pretty much what happens in the WWE. When you know how to talk, you get a push even if you are not actually the most talented wrestler. It also happens at work in a new job, when you are in a probationary period lol, you may not be the best worker performance wise, but if you are punctual, get along well with others, respect everyone, you'll keep your job over the better performers because the higher ups see they can work with you and make you better because you already have the fundamentals and you are reliable. They can rely on you to clock in every morning at 9AM. That's DSG.
