Comments Thread For: Lucas Browne Beating Down Sparring Partners in Camp

LUCAS BROWNE has been smashing his sparring partners in preparation for his March 5 WBA heavyweight title challenge against Ruslan Chagaev.

The Aussie has shared the ring with a variety of boxers in order to be at his best and few have been able to mix it with him for too long.

Big Daddy gonna take midget's head off. Chaggy has used up his chances.

Browne by devastating, career-ending, hospitalizing KO.

Lucas is in great shape; you must be thinking of David Tua, but he prefers Burger King.

Toss up fight really. Browne has fought very little opposition, and Chagaev doesn't always come into the fight very solid. Two B fighters going at it.

The only question I see here is Chagaevīs motivation. If heīs in shape he will school Browne, but thatīs a really big IF..

Yeah, this is Chagaev's fight to lose really. Browne is crude as a cucumber but he has a certain level of consistency to his game, and if Chagaev comes into the fight fat and disinterested like he has done in the past (against Walker for instance) then Browne stands a really good chance. He's a big unit and can ****, whatever his faults. Chags is tough as nails though for such a small man. He's like a Central Asian James Toney.
