I can't understand why GGG is so concerned with belts? You can have the fancy belts, and no quality fights. If he thinks the fans will understand the politics of the sport, he's sadly mistaken. All they will know is "who you didn't fight," and they could care less "why you didn't fight." Accept the catch-weight and make him pay in the ring!

so why'd you take a step aside fee? just be done with the bs and demand the fight or strip.... oh wait they've been saying that for some time now.

GGG is right. It is a business decision; Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas against a well known challenger that he is going to beat relatively easily is very good for business. It doesn't make boxing sense seeing as GGG is next up for Canelo once he wins but as Canelo is entitled to a voluntary defence he can choose who he wants. I just hope Canelo doesn't try and maneuver himself out of fight against GGG. I'm a fan of Canelo but I'll lose a lot of respect for him if he runs from GGG.

No ****. Me and you aren't pro boxers. He has higher expectations like beating the big names, fighting on PPV and unifying the division.

its weird how in the sport of boxing the more skilled you are the less likely you are going to get that big fight. I remember an interview where Hearn said that when they were looking for a fight for barker team GGG offered to fight him for 20 ringside tickets and having a logo put in the center of the ring. ask anyone else if they would fight for chump change like that at the world level and you'll hear crickets.

GGG and his team needs to stfu and just fight. Not canelo fault his team comes through with the big fights while your stuck facing bums for peanuts. Disrespect to boxing because canelo is much bigger--this comes from a guy who is bigger than canelo, calling out Floyd, who is smaller than khan. If GGG had landed the Floyd fight, it's great for boxing..canelo vs khan, what a disrespect- how dare them!!

I dont like Canelo but hes not the one calling people out than making excuses not to fight them when it becomes reality. Khan vs Canelo is a huge sham and we all know it, well most do anyway but I think people have blinders on also when it comes to GGG, take Canelo and Cotto out of the middleweight division and you basically have the Cruiserweight division (nobody gives 2 ****s) of years past.

Khan was given to Canelo as punishment to be hurt bad

Khan is hated in boxing everywhere and Khan's big mouth prevented the Kubla nothing big mouth with no belt to get any meaningful fights. Khan was set up with Canelo to be destroyed and KO'd violently and hopefully finished forever in boxing. Khan's fan base is America's hated enemy and beating the hell out of Khan makes a huge statement. Good riddance Kubla sand land awaits you.
