Ah, so we've already established a date for the next "step aside" agreement discussions?

What do you mean WBC will give GGG the business? Every single time he's had the opportunity to fight for the belt or strip the champ he's agreed to delay the fight.

What contractual duties have the WBC not upheld? They've presented GGG with the opportunity to negotiate a fight with the champion and every single time he's agreed to delay the fight. They should be more concerned about Heiland suing because he hasn't gotten his opportunity to fight for an eliminator.[/QUOTE]

Yeah, fair enough. If GGG and Canelo are actually negotiating with the intention to fight, then that's fine. Considering Canelo is fighting Khan, I don't see September happening - in which case the WBC should uphold their rules (no CW in a mando, the pre-decided split) and go to purse bid, or strip Canelo. They should, for example, as the governing body, say "if you haven't decided on a weight or split (by, say May 22nd), we're going to take it to purse bid at 160 at 65 - 35, and if you don't like it, we'll strip you."

The WBC should tell GGG either force the fight or strip. No more step aside deals. We have others paying their sanctioning fees and you'll lose your ranking if you accept another step aside

GGG can force the belt, but he can't force the fight which is what he and every fan wants to see. I really can't see it happening this year, not with Canelo eyeing the Pacquiao-Bradley winner (I know, I know). I hate to say this but a part of me wants Khan to win so I can witness the ****ery that ensues.
But the WBC can force the fight if they really wanted to, he is holding their belt, if he can't or won't defend it, then they need to take it off of him.

you need to add another very probable scenario:
no agreement reached, ggg steps aside again...

ggg tries to force canelos hand and he wont get the fight in the future, that lil red haired mofo has a huge ego and wont hesitate to show ggg the middle finger like he did on the past to much bigger stars...

Yeah but we've already had several deadlines and step-aside money doled out. And really, why would Canelo give a ****? The belts and GGG need him.
