Comments Thread For: Kiko Martinez Promises Shocker With Leo Santa Cruz Upset

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Spain's Kiko "Sensación" Martinez is a soft-spoken, hard-hitting former IBF Super Bantamweight World Champion and a three-time European champion at 122 pounds. He's a come-forward, comes-to-win, aggressive-minded slugger who makes for exciting fights and has been in with excellent opposition.

Best of luck to him, but I have a hard time believing that will happen.

He has a good chance. I like Kiko. This will be a good weekend with Quigg/Frampton also

I like Kiko but he's too small for Santa Cruz at featherweight

I remember when he ran over Romero, made it look incredibly easy. IDK if Kiko has much left in the tank to actually win, but their styles mesh well and LSC is an average puncher. If Kiko's well-conditioned, he'll at least be able to make it an entertaining fight for however long it lasts.

Another one of these "come forward", "right there to be hit" idiots. LOL!

He pulls this off and both he and Sergio are back on the big stage.

Martinez is a tough forward-gear-only fighter, and he could put Santa Cruz on the canvas early on, but Leo is a smart boxer who knows how to adjust. Not a Leo fan per se, but I just see this as Kiko's 3rd big loss. Champs Quigg and Frampton stopped him, and champ Santa Cruz will stop him as well.
