Although Stevenson would get backlash, people have to remember Kovalev fought Hopkins too, and K2 was interested in it as well for GGG. Also, Stevenson wanted B-Hop in 2014, but Hop 'hopped' over to HBO to fight Kovalev instead.

I don't think he would get too much backlash for taking a Hopkins fight (although the argument could be made that he waited for Hopkins to age two extra years from when this fight was first talked about). But everyone and their mom will be rooting for Stevenson to lose.

I don't like it, Stevenson wins easy. He moves well, and throws straight punches. Powerful straight punches. Bhop wouldn't be able to get his punches off or get inside to make the fight compelling. Count me out.

I heard that Hopkins was to fight on the Canelo undercard but I could be wrong on that.

I can't imagine Hopkins would fight on Showtime/PBC if he works for HBO.

I think this would be a horrible fight to look at
