A lot of Russians are fans of Roy Jones and many other black people. There is certainly racism in Russia obviously but I seriously doubt this attack was because he's friends with a black guy. This article is speculating the attack was because people were upset he put a 47 year old past prime legend in a ring with a dangerous opponent.
