Ricky Hatton: Canelo Has Improved Tremendously Since The Mayweather Fight [VIDEO]

So there we have it. The legendary Ricky Hatton himself confirms that Canelo is now a far better fighter than when he faced Floyd, other than the fact he was weight-drained in the fight too of course. But Hatton thinks his skills have improved a great deal and as he's already said, he himself isn't confident that Khan can pull off the upset because of the huge weight disparity between the fighters.

I believe it , he is a much better fighter than when Floyd fought him and he dont have to deal with a CW , add it all up and Khan is in for a flogging , dont be surprised if its like a Kirkland win for Canelo .

Makes it more harder for Khan. Not looking good for him. He should have fought Brook first.

Hatton's word doesn't mean shyt to me but anyone who knows anything about boxing can see the changes in him. Particularly, the sense of urgency when he's down in rounds. How to cut off a ring. Greater emphasis on ring generalship and a higher ring IQ all-around. Mayweather loss was a big wake-up. Most guys wilt after Mayweather, Canelo blossomed.

Canelo's job was to make Floyd look good.

          and he did it.

It's natural that he fights better when he's not weight drained as ****

He's getting better with every fight.

Khan apparently hasn't noticed and thinks he's going to be able to do what Mayweather did, despite Mayweather being 10x the fighter he is and Canelo being much improved.

Khan beats Mayweather at this point, in a competitive but clear win. That's why Mayweather repeatedly avoided him as we all saw (but some still choose to deny).

But if he studies the Mayweather vs Canelo fight exclusively thinking he can utilize the same game plan Floyd did against a weight-drained slow and sluggish Canelo, he won't be doing himself any favours that's for sure.

Nonsense. Khan would never have the intelligence to beat Floyd. Yeah he has speed but people like Julio Diaz, Peterson, Algieri and Garcia weren't that bothered by his speed. Why do you think Floyd would be?

If you have nothing to offer Floyd apart from speed, you're not going to beat him. Khan has a low ring IQ, no inside game, no real good defence, average footwork, average power, not much of a chin. A guy with these attributes cannot beat Floyd Mayweather. He wouldn't even break a sweat.
