He took this fight because of the money and the sympathy he'll get if he lasts the fight, "Amir did tremendously well and has proven he's got heart by going 12 rounds...."
He's trying to make out like it was unavoidable to take this fight and that he's a martyr with balls of steel. Erm, no...better to take a mismatched fight and look heroic win or lose than fight someone who has been calling him out for years because he's afraid of losing and having no excuses to fall back on. Anyone with an IQ above 30 can see through this farce of a fight.
You're spot on. That's a big money fight and the excuse is ready from the beginning "he was too big fo' mey". Also it's not like Khan hasn't been in highlight KO losses before, so one more, one less, what does it change? He's gonna lose anyway.
