I like Leonard but he didn't do enough to unseat Hagler that night. I think his popularity and the 30-second flash tactic swayed the judges.

Unlike Leonard, Khan is not the house fighter here; he's not a dominating WW; and his defensive skills and ring savvy are insufficient against Canelo's physical advantages. If Khan manages to box for 12 rounds like Lara, he's not going to get a decision either. That said, finishing the fight without incurring damage is a win for Khan in my books.

Canelo's a good counter puncher. It'll take three or four rounds for him to adjust to Khan's timing which is not unpredictable. Then during the middle rounds, he'll land a check hook as Khan comes in. It's downhill from there for the Bolton fighter.

Khan's biggest mistake would be to think he's much faster than Canelo.

Canelo has faster enough hands to time and catch Khan - at some point it will happen.

This is not a good fight to bet on a winner. You might get very good odds on a second half stoppage of Khan because there'll sure as hell be a lot of $ laid down on a quick stoppage.

I hope that is a drop in the ocean for you. You might get 3-1 or 4-1 odds which is good but only if you win - there must be better opportunities out there.

          Jokes.

He should be a lot better at it after fighting Lara....and Khan has nothing stronger than Lara's straight left. He should do a good job. I think Khan has to keep him off of his body and take advantage of Canelo's tendency to start slow.
