LOS ANGELES - Eager to resume his quest for a world championship in 2016, the fighting pride of the Bronx, Eddie "Eboy" Gomez (18-1, 11 KOs), will do so with Golden Boy Promotions in his corner once again. lol

Eddie Gomez, a 154 fighter, claims to have world title aspiration yet now, with following through on the deal, has put himself in a position where he's unlikely to fight the WBA (Erislandy Lara, pending the Cotto offer), IBF(Charlo), or WBC(tournament fighters seem to all be on good terms with Haymon) 154 champions and the WBO 154 belt is currently around the waist of a non-traveling Brit(with the WBO rare to enforce mandatories).

To that, you can also add that Golden Boy isn't actually flush with TV dates (sans Canelo's fights, I doubt you see Golden Boy on HBO even 5 times this year), and things make even less sense.

    good luck, I guess.

        Surprised

Surprised Eddie resigned with Golden Boy. He's a very talented fighter who should have gotten more opportunities last year.

I love what Oscar is doing with his West Coast talent but he needs to make a better effort on showcasing his East Coast and Southern fighters. Golden Boy has so much talent and their mostly young talent so it will be interesting what more they do.

Eddie Gomez is a prime example of a guy who needs more opportunities
