Agreed, it must be sort of a cathartic thing for some to expose the people who they know have cheated on them. It's like a step down from actual bodily harm or murder (as in Valero's case), so instead of hurting them physically it hurts their reputation around town, while at the same time it means that they don't do any jail time for a crime of passion.

Quite clever in some ways. A psychological cleansing, a revenge of sorts, and in many cases they get away with it scot-free, no handcuffs, no prison food, no cold jail cell...
