I see this as a no-win fight for Ward
He is going up against a pretty unheralded opponent, so even a win does nothing for him.
But Barerra is unbeaten, a well schooled cuban who has some skills, and will be the bigger man in the ring.
At 168, ward relied on being a natural 175lb fighter who boiled down to 168, he used a lot of holding and grappling skills, I mean Ward would fit right in in the WWE, holding his opponents, pushing them around and he also had a good headbutt which reminded me of the old samoan WWE wrestlers. Truthfully, wards headbutt was a devestating finishing maneuver, and when combined with his impressive grappling skills, he had such advantages.
However at 175lb, fighting guys as big or bigger than him, his wrestling may not workfor him, and in this case he will have to stand off and box, I can see barerra picking ward off with power shots, and when ward tries to grab hold, barerra will push him away.
Ward's usual tactics wont work. Barerra will keep on top of Ward, tagging him with one power shot after another, whiplashing Wards head back and forth like he’s rocking to a silent beat that only he can hear. Finally, Barerra will land a chopping right hand that will connect to the tender chin of Ward, sending him down on the canvas.
The referee will give him the benefit of the doubt and count to 10, even though Ward will be face down on the canvas, out cold with eyes shut. The crowd won’t know what to say, and not a word will be uttered from their open pie holes.
