Comments Thread For: Ward: Barrera Not Stronger, Hasn't Seen This Speed, Conditioning

Andre Ward isn't worried about Sullivan Barrera's size advantage as he prepares for his debut as a full-fledged light heavyweight.

Ward was an undersized light heavyweight amateur star who often boxed bigger opponents on his way to winning a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The 6-foot Ward (28-0, 15 KOs) has defeated taller foes as a pro as well, most notably 6-1 southpaw Chad Dawson, and thus is confident about beating Barrera (17-0, 12 KOs) on March 26 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California (HBO).

Poor lil Andre, he gonna get pushed around by the big kids

I said it a couple of times now, I would even be willing to have a fun bet.....

After Ward/Kovalev - IF Ward gets by Barrera, no disrespect intended - win lose or draw, Kovalev will comment that Ward was stronger than he expected

He's a cab driver, so this statement doesn't impress anyone who isn't a CoWard d1cksucka

Ward talking with a lot of confidence, words don't win fights but I'm sure he'll rise to the ocasion like he's always done.

        Great fight for meassuring LHW.

Barrera a cab driver? Man he'd clean your clock, take your girl out to dinner, and they'd have 3 kids all before you woke up from the knock out

You can't really call Wade a cab driver and not Barrera aswell.

Both fights are decent but I'm looking for them both to do bigger and better things by the end of the year.

Ward talks about the fight as if there is some compromise that will be reached in the ring. Too bad outside of the ring, he doesn't seem to even know what a compromise is.
