It's not like the jury is still out on 50 as a promoter. We have a pretty big sample size that says he sucks, almost 4 years since he started SMS. Half his stable of fighters complain about not getting the money they were told the other half complain about not getting fights or the right type of fights. All say he was way over his head and didn't know about boxing. And his company filed bankruptcy. Just about every way you can fail 50 has found a way to fail.You need your head examined if you are trying to defend this man. Every fighter who signed saw their careers go downhill under 50. One by one they have either already left or are suing/planning to sue to try and get away from him. Once the last fighter is gone this dirtbag will have nothing to do with boxing and that will be a great day.Comment

In fairness these fighters were duped. They didn't think they were signing to 50. Floyd let this fool into boxing and co-signed him. They all signed while Floyd was in jail under the impression that floyd and 50 were part of a boxing takeover with "The Money Team" promotions. 50 tired to convince Floyd to turn on Haymon and cut him out the loop while in jail. Haymon found out got in his ear and when he was released from Jail Floyd pulled a 180 on 50 and refuse to start the company and their friendship crumbled. So 50 took all the fighters he tricked into signing and created SMS Promotions by himself. Most if not all would of never signed or had a thing to do with 50 if they knew Floyd was not involved.Originally posted by Bandman View PostComment
