i think ward is more of a smotherer instead of a clincher..
he uses your jab against you by walking you right in to his shoulder..and u basically fall on him and he either accepts it or starts working his hands when u least expect him to explode...he's just a complete fighter, but yes he does know how to clinch, but you will be frustrated so much that your teachings wont be on your mind..bc u'll understand he does way more than clinch..and if that is 70% of wat you trainer works on u waisted a lot of time..u'll see abel...mr. ward is a boxing monster that doesnt have power...he'll like freddie...he keeps you through hell the whole match

i agree he does have that hip explosion in clinches that allow him take his hand out of his pocket at short distance..and it is something i love to see out of all boxers...i think most hate it bc he's hated..and thats it..and they also know that if he stays at range he's just as good..he's going to send abel home to ggg like "hey buddy, we really dodged a bullet"
instead of "no no no" this time GGG will say "yes yes yes" like daniel bryant

Ward only takes on winnable fights in Oakland sad sad

Andre in Oakland again against Barrera is a set up fight for Ward to win. Ward has a wasted career in boxing fueled by greed and motivated via inactivity and more greed. Ward has gotten possibly the worst career advice ever in boxing by dimwit clueless morons obviously not fit for advice. Andre values his self importance to be quite high but boxing has ignored the smooth talking little fighting pretty boy Ward.

Ward loves to hit on the break after a clinch, so Sanchez should cover that with Barrera as well.

Going into the super six Ward was not a huge name. Kessler came in as the favorite to win. I dont understand where the hate comes from look at his resume GGG and Roman Gonzales doesnt even come close to facing the same level as opposition. You can say what you want about his style but its effective and he wins.

Sanchez worried Ward will undress his guy, just like he was with GGG.
