who the **** is dominic wade? is this the guy that they have put on shobox? i understand its a mandatory but god this seems like the never ending routine for team ggg. say no to those willing to fight and chase around those who wont and in the mean time accept step aside fees and fight mandos that no one has ever heard of.

i mean seriously is it just me or is this starting to seem like a purposeful strategy that has no big fight in sight?

Exactly! I am a GGG fan but I really am getting tired of finding out he's signed to fight some zookeeper or uber driver. It's time for us fans to start tweeting ggg and tagging his trainer and handlers as well as opponents such as Lara. We the fans need to make this happen.

This is probably lil g's worst bum to date. He out did himself this time. That is very, very, very difficult to do when you look at his resume. The kid's only had 3 scheduled 10rd fights. And one of those was against a cat that was 10-11-2. Any organization that makes it "mandatory" for their champion fight a guy like this. Isn't an organization who's belt is worth having.

I agree. I said this yesterday as a fan of the sport we should want to see the best vs the best. I am glad that Ward and Kovalev have a match coming up for the end of the year. I am glad Porter vs Thurman is taking place. I would love to see Lara fight ggg. But it's like lil g's fans don't want to see these fights. You never hear Ward or Lara fans saying they shouldn't fight x,y,z.

If you believe in your fighter than believe in him. We are not asking lil g to fight Wilder are some other dude who is clearly too big for him. Lara would be coming up from 154 to 160 so the weight advantage and power should favor lil g. But it's clear his team and fans don't want that fight for a reason

I'm not gonna criticize GGG for fighting his mandatory. I'm not sure if the IBF would have given him an exemption and allowed him to fight anybody else unless it was a unification. It's obvious Canelo and GBP are gonna delay this fight as long as they can and BJS doesn't want the fight either (regardless of twitter posts) so IMO he has no other choice but to fight Wade if he wants to keep his IBF belt.
Are there others I want to see him fight? Of course but we as boxing fans seldom get the fights we want when we want them.
The best way to show your disgust with this fight or future fights that are deemed non competitive is to not tune in. You'd be surprised how fast the game changes with horrible ratings.

And he arguably didn't even win his last fight. It proved absolutely nothing. Him being the top challenger for a title is absolutely ludicrous.

This is why top fighters typically bypass the IBF title.
