Canelo v Khan - PPV Buys Prediction Thread

How many PPV's will this fight sell? It has been getting front page treatment by sports news outlet in both the US and the UK. Early unofficial polls had Canelo winning at 85% and Khan at 15%. Yesterday that figure was at a ludicrous, 40% Khan to win and 60% Canelo. So the hype train is real.

Should do well hype is already massive, they are doing a press tour of the U.K.
, New York, and Los Angeles.

Uncle Bob Arum claimed that the fight with Pacquaio didnt happen because HBO
were not interested. I think Uncle Bob managed to hustle Pacqaio out of easier and bigger paydays versus Khan and Broner.

If Khan fights Broner later this year I reckon that will be a Massive fight as well...Both these kids know how to create hype for themselves.

As far as this fight goes Khan seems like a one man hype machine, hardly heard a squeak from Canelos team.

I don't know much about PFV figures. I voted the 2nd largest one. I am sure this fight will be a huge seller and Canelo will be a bigger star than ever after he knocks Khan out quickly and easily in my opinion. Canelo is a 3 to 1 favorite to win so the odds are not that one sided. I will bet all I can afford to lose on Canelo even though I only get 1 dollar back for every 3 dollars I risk. I just can't imagine Canelo not knocking Khan out. If he can't knock Khan out I will be force to demote him from being my favorite fighter.

400k US, idk about the UK. This isn't really a big fight IMO.

So Arum is saving Pacquiao from the ferocious Khan who barely beat Algieri and had to get off the canvas to beat washed up Diaz. Pacquiao is made to order to knock Khan's head off. Bradley is a much harder opponent for Pacquiao. Every time Khan wants a fight and doesn't get it he and his loyal fans say it's because the guy was afraid of Khan. That is just BS. Now Khan has the big fight he wanted so let's see if he can fight even a 10th as good as he says he can.

Broner is already a two time loser. The formula to beat Broner is to come at him hard with a hard punching fast two fisted attack from all angles. Broner's only answer to this kind of pressure is a bear hug and holding on for dear life. That is how Maidana and Porter beat him and that is how Pacquiao would beat him. Broner is just a decent fighter but not at all in the class with even an old Pacquiao.

Around 350k in the US is my guess. I don't think khan is nearly as big here as people make him out to be. He gets pretty solid ratings on network TV but I don't think that translates to big PPV star.

I could be way off though. Canelo is a big star and Khan is somewhat of a name so casuals who like Canelo but don't follow the sport might say to themselves "Khan...I've heard that name before must be a great fight!" and order it.

Huh! Did you actually read what I wrote? Thats exactly what I said..Khan and Broner would have been easier fights for Pacquaio and Bigger paydays. The new focused version of Bradley is a riskier fight.

Uncle Bob wanted to keep the fight in house.

So what exactly is your objection with what I wrote? Why you throwing a tantrum?
