No man not at all. Exactly as you said he smothers his own work.

I love watching brawlers like Provo but he has sick punishing power and lands clean a lot, you can tell he hurts guys. Porter rarely ever lands clean and his punches are wider adn less forceful. I don't think Ken Porter is a good coach at all tbh.

He was good to watch vs Paulie and Alexander. But his performances against Broner was lackluster and against Brook he looked very ineffective.

this is really the only fight of his i found entertaining. other then that, his fights are excessive clinches when he tries to get inside. The way he smothers his own punches is sometimes unbearable to watch. If Broner had let his hands go more he woulda beaten him.
