Just make the fight, it will easily be the best, most durable fighter on GGG's resume. At the very least Hopkins goes all 12 rounds and gives GGG the toughest fight probably since Ian Gardner. He's 50 but he will be the best on GGG's resume, just like he is the best on Kovalev's resume.

Don't know when stating facts as they are became spinning, but you were quick to defend the idea of the Hopkins fight being a better one than that of Ward even though this fight isn't happening.Comment

Loefflers context obviously went over your head.
but a month or 6 from now, when there has been NO attempt whatsoever at making GGG-Hops, maybe you will figure it out.......
But lets make it interesting. I'll bet $100 that there will never be a serious attempt to make GGG-Hops. Money gets paid to the charity of your choice, and I'll post a photo of the receipt. You game?Probably because it doesn't make much sense and doesn't seem likely. I don't think he's joking there's probably reasons behind everything he says, he's a promoter, but regardless numerous things would have to happen in order for this fight to take place:
-Golovkin is still fighting his mandatory next.
-Hopkins is looking to fight real soon as well.
-Canelo/Golovkin talks would have to fall apart again later in the year.
-Saunders/or whoever might beat him v Golovkin talks would have to fall apart.
-HBO would have to be willing to pay for this fight.
I'm not a fan of Leoffler thinking or talking about this fight. I think comments like these don't help Golovkin at all. If he's honestly thinking that maybe this is a good fight, he's ******. If he's using it for some other reason like to show Golden Boy/Canelo Golovkin has plenty of options by going after another Golden Boy fighter, well that's pretty ****** as well.Comment
