Why would you put a poll up in the first place for your next opponent if you just end up fighting the loser of the poll, not the winner? What was the point of the poll then?

It's because Floyd assumed Maidana would win the poll due the win against an overhyped Broner, so when Khan won the poll he just ignored the results and still picked the easier opponent, as he always intended to do most probably. Although as mentioned, Khan repeatedly saying he'd try to outbox Floyd, instead of brawling and going for a KO may well have played a part too.

So Canelo by KO is your prediction, you're entitled to your opinion as others are entitled to theirs, lad.

Simple; as a free marketing piece to promote the upcoming fight. Not that complicated.

Floyd likely figured that 1)the heat that Maidana picked up for beating Broner was real and 2)Amir Khan, in his desperation for the fight, would push the fight on social media, and generate a real backlash.

No one expected the backlash to be a serious as it was, but it did put extra heat on the Maidana fight, making for a better business proposition for Floyd.

Floyd is longer than Khan, Floyd's ring IQ is worlds better than Khan's, and Floyd's consistently been able to push a hard pace for 12 rounds, if needed. Amir Khan has fast hands, but he lingers too long once he starts firing and has the damnedest time sticking to any one gameplan for more than 4-5 rounds. give it up already.

Seems you're the mentally challenged one as you have difficulty understanding that Roger simply put that disclaimer in place as he always does.

He said the same thing about Cotto, Pacquiao, De La Hoya.. and anyone not TMT affiliated, or, more specifically, anyone who was mentioned as a possible Floyd opponent.. He always calls them garbage regardless of how good they are. He hardly ever gives a potential Floyd opponent respect, it's not his style.
