I can see Khan putting up a good fight, he just can't get in his head for a second that he is going to stand in front of Canelo. Canelo doesn't cut the ring off well, and Khan is tall with long arms. Khan has to avoid taking that big shot from him and fight from the outside in order to have a chance, but I don't see it out of the realm of possibility.
How can anyone suggest that Khan can beat Canelo?

Even though I don't think Khan can win, he does the intangibles to make a good fight.
The main questions will get answered, will Khan's chin hold up? That is the most important. Khan was able to beat Maidana at 140, but he hurt Maidana early to the body, most fighters would have been stopped in the fight.
Canelo will be a couple of weight classes higher, that will play a factor.
I think it might play out like Crawford Gamboa, Gamboa was doing good for a couple rounds, but the size advantage, was the difference. Gamboa would have won if they were the same size.
Khan would have a good shot of winning at the same size, it would still come down to his chin. Garcia might have cracked it for good. We don't know, he has not faced a big strong fighter in years.Comment

I Haven't seen anyone say outright that Khan will win. We will see how Canelo will deal with Khan's ultra quick hands within the first few rounds, which will be absolutely enthralling I think. I believe that the best Khan can do is to make the fight look like Peterson vs Garcia.Canelo vs. Khan is probably the biggest mismatch in boxing...
Khan had a glass jaw when he was in 140, while Canelo is actual tough & strong middleweight who didn't even feel Cotto's punches...
I can't see how Khan can keep Canelo away from himself... Even Cotto couldn't.
It's 99,9% Canelo's victory for me & 95% by a brutal KO!
Khan is famous for his glass jaw.
Garcia doesn't lie...
Khan can't take a punch...
Who knows? Maybe Khan has totally ****ed his career by draining weight so much. Perhaps he will grow himself a sturdy jaw at this higher weight.Comment

Since we're throwing out sayings like speed kills, how about timing beats speed.
It's going to happen, and when it does, Khan is going mimis.Comment

If I was Virgil I'd tell him to create an angle, jab, get on the back foot. Vary it up with a right hand and clinch (a'la Hopkins) and left hook on the way out (Ward). If he stands in range or trades in any way, he's dead. This is like the hot lava game you played as a kid. Stay out of the lava.Comment

I think that's a fair assessment of how the fight might play out.
I don't think Khan carries enough power to seriously trouble Canelo, and after that is established, Canelo starts mauling him.Comment
