Did Pacquiao move up and fight someone in his prime (with no catch weights)?

Amir has shown huge courage by taking this Canelo fight. Courage that hasn't been seen in recent times.

Amir is going for greatness. Applaud that. It's a breath of fresh air in Boxing. This is how the old time great fighters would fight: for greatness and legacy, not for personal bank accounts.

You are a neanderthal from either Karachi or Bolton hence your blind and obtuse love for a glass-jawed and flawed boxer like Khan.

But to answer your question about Floyd, Floyd has indeed moved up in weight several times to fight guys that were bigger than him and certainly in their prime.

In 2005 Floyd moved up to 140Ibs from 135Ibs and easily destroyed Arturo Gatti who was in his prime and a sanctioned belt holder.
The two other fighters in that division that were belt holders both refused to fight Floyd because they said they weren't ready: Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto - this is a fact that you can google yourself.

When there was no else to fight, he moved up in weight within a year and fought two belt holders in their prime at 147Ibs, Zab Judah and Carlos Baldomir. You can criticize them all you want but they were champions at that time.

He then moved up to 154Ibs in less than a year and fought a bigger fighter in Oscar De La Hoya.

If you look at Floyd's career from 2004 all the way to 2015 every single fighter that Floyd fought was a current belt holder and a recognized top ten fighter in that specific division. Can you say the same for A Mere Con? Khan is an idiot and will get destroyed by Canelo and you will have to wait another 20 years for another hero to come out of Pakistan which I must say is pretty embarrassing that only one person has come out to be a world champion from a country of more than 100 million people.

You sound like a racist hater.

Gatti, Cotto, ODLH, Judah - all guys that were out of their primes when Floyd fought them.

Baldomir? The guy only fights in one direction: straight ahead. He's a one trick pony.

Floyd openly stated that Cotto was washed up and been in too many wars, then fought him a year later, odlh was past it, his own trainer at the time admitted that. Judah was coming off a loss to baldomir...
Having said all that Khans not gonna win, shoud have fought cotto at 154, still would have been a high profile fight, yet a winnable one, but this?? Canelo may have avoided the real middleweights but cant take away the fact he is strong as F.k n hits extremly hard with good accuracy. Khan will look good for 1st 3 rounds wiv his in n out style but hes gettin ko'd!
Used to be a big fan of him up till the Alexander fight, since then he talked himself into being hated.
This is gonna have been a Pointless fight when its all said and done.

It would be a huge win for Khan and i would no doubt give him his due, i rate Canelo very highly bcuz of the quality fighters hes defeated. I know Hunter will have a good gameplan but i dont think Khan can carry it out against such a proven foe.

I won't be surprise if khan outboxes Canelo. .I'll be surprise if he gets a decision vs Canelo while doing it..and that he didn't get KO TKO.....canelo and his team arent da smart...if Canelo doesn't KO TKO khan. . then it won't look good for his career..imo canelo will look bad vs Khan till he finally catches him n KOs him..

Nobody wants to give fighters credit for anything, especially on here. If Khan was to outbox Canelo for 12 rounds, i think lots of people would just say "well already he struggled with boxers/movers like Floyd, Lara and Trout anyway"

People will go wow king khan if you beat him. They were even going wow at you taking the fight.
Beating nelo at his beloved 155 and not 152 like some other boxer did. Plus he's more seasoned now with some good wins under his belt. And not green
