Before the fight it was "floyd is too old, canelo too big and too strong". After the fight "canelo to young and green".

floyd was a favorite in that fight... boxing pundits were picking him to beat canelo on points, which is exactly what the vegas lines reflected. canelo is a cautious fighter, and really much more of a boxer than the brawler / slugger that the media tried to make him out to be. i expected him to try and box with floyd to move him to the ropes, and get outpointed. that's exactly what happened. that wasn't a hard fight to handicap, really. i won some money betting the favorite, and the line at the MGM was out the door for people collecting "that mayweather money."

i waited with a group of black dudes who got a kick out of me being what they thought was the only white dude who wanted floyd to win.
