I've been a mild 'hater' in the past. In this fight Amir has took on a massive challenge for likely the biggest payday out there at the minute. He got his wish for a super fight, he's got a chance to shock the world/create history and he's going to make a ton of money doing it.
News of this fight was one of the biggest shocks in recent memory in boxing. Amir has the speed, the reach, footwork and movement to keep out of range and outbox Canelo, and with another 8-9lb in weight may be able to add more strength and durability. Khan has the build and frame which should allow him to move up without losing too much speed.
My head says Canelo to win in dominant fashion. My initial thoughts were this is a mismatch and an insult to the fans. The reality is Amir Khan is a warrior attempting to realise his dream of becoming the best in his chosen profession. I'll definately be routing for him to pull off the upset in this fight.
