Khan doesn't care if he loses the fight anyway.

I'm sure he wants to win but he knows that losing to Canelo probably doesn't make a dent in his reputation and he gets paid very well. Good business move. Same reason he wanted to fight Floyd and Manny. Nothing to lose apart from the actual fight which will be no big deal.

fast is still fast. khan's not going to put on 7 lbs of muscle. virtually all ofo these guys lose weight to fight at their current weight classes. khan will just lose less weight and eat more / drink more water in the weeks leading up to the fight.

he'll be faster than canelo, and beat him to the punch until canelo gets his timing down, and khan slows.

But Hand speed wont be enough, Khan isnt an intelligent fighter, his footwork isnt great and he lacks the necessary power to hold off Canelo. Canelo will walk through his punches and punish Khan. I would be surprised if this fight went passed 3 rounds.

this post seems to imply that you think i think khan's handspeed will be enough, that's he's intellegent enough, that he has good enough footwork, that he punches hard enough to win, or even for the fight to not be considered a mismatch.

khan's goign to be cautious, and so is canelo. canelo's naturally cautious, and khan will be coached to be cautious if his naturally tendency isn't to be cautious when he gets in front of a guy who is so much bigger and punches so much harder.

sticking with my prediction of a 7th round knockout.

I dont think he will though, Khan's first thought is to attack and this is especially the case when he takes a punch. This is what's caught him out against Prescott and against Garcia. I seem to remember Roach telling Khan to watch Garica's left hook coming in, Khan ignored him and we know what happened in that fight. I dont think you can coach caution in a fighter when their instinct is to be aggressive.

At best, Khan will add 1-2 lbs of muscle mass, he's not a bodybuilder, he'll be doing tons of cardio during the camp. But let's say he somehow magically added 5-6 lbs of muscle to his frame...His stamina would decrease, and to even survive couple of rounds, Khan will have to move around the ring like Usain Bolt. So it's a lose-lose situation.

As for body punching, Cotto, who's a vicious body puncher, couldn't hurt Canelo, you think Khan will? lol

Khan's speed won't be a factor in this fight, Canelo's size will.
khan doesnt have to put on weight at all and preserve his speed and just be too quick for canelo. 155 is the limit its not the mandatory weigh in weight.

No because ****** Hunter will increase his muscle mass while retaining optimum speed.

He will still be quicker than Canelo. To think his speed won't impact natural middleweights ( or 170lber in Canelo case) is idiotic. The speed will be there but not to the extent we see at welterweight or have seen at junior welterweight

Khan shouldn't obsess about putting on weight. Fight at a weight you perform best at.
Its not so much losing speed but carrying extra weight around a ring for 12 rounds he will get tired faster.
In those later rounds is when you can get hurt
