Welterweight contender Kermit Cintron (26-1, 24 KOs) scored an impressive tenth round TKO over David Estrada (18-3) Wednesday night at the Palm Beach Convention Center in Palm Beach, Florida. It was a competitive fight all the way through with Cintron finally dropping Estrada in the tenth round of a scheduled twelve rounder. The rugged Estrada beat the count, but the bout was stopped shortly after. Time was 1:13. At the time of the stoppage Cintron was up 86-85, 87-84, 87-84 on the official cards. ********* scored it 5-3-1 in rounds for Cintron. It was the first time that Estrada, who went the distance with Shane Mosley in his last fight, has ever been stopped. Cintron earned the #2 spot in the IBF with the win. The card was promoted by Bobby Bostick Promotions. (More to come)
