Speed is irrelevant considering Khan doesn't change up his speed, far lesser fighters than Canelo have been able to time him as a result of that. On top of that, Khan is an arm puncher, Mayweather not only has better reach than Khan, he has better hand speed when throwing singular shots and far more variation to his offense.

You brought up how Khan struggles with awkward fighters, Danny Garcia is anything but that, neither is Lamont Peterson and I can also include Julio Diaz or Algieri who Khan barely managed to get by.

Khan will lose because the idiot has no upper body movement, stands too straight up, moves in straight lines, doesn't change up his speed, throws the same repetitive combinations and his high guard always seems to leave a wide enough gap to get anything through. I don't even need to mention his chin or how he's physically inferior in this fight because even if he possessed those tools, he'd still take a beating.

The guy doesn't have much of a ring IQ, that's been on display in the pros so who gives a fuck about his amateur pedigree?

Khan can't ask for cw or hydration clauses which will be his undoing. Floyd employed theses clauses so successfully. You got to be sdmart on negotiating table where the fight is won or lost

Props to him for taking this fight, but Khan has no chance whatsoever, stop fooling yourself.

This fight is a total farce, Canelo and Oscar can suck a ****.

Khan has the intangibles to outbox Canelo no question but Canelo can put Khan down with one shot and Khan is far from a defensive wizard, he's there to be hit. Khan needs a near perfect performance, it can be done but i think it's more likely that Canelo can land the punch to put him down and out before the end of 12.

He almost got outworked by a much smaller and older Cotto by throwing very few punches instead of using his size to overpower the much smaller man. But I just think he will catch Khan with something big because canelo does have good timing.
Good, relevant analysis - from a pro-Khan perspective - by OP but I tend to agree with this one.

Speed doesnt matter that much if you dont know how to use it. Speed alone doesnt equal skill.

Khan has terrible footwork, no matter 'fast' his feet. His positioning and balance are awful.

Having faster hands and feet doesnt matter if you dont know how to use it to put the slower fighter at a disadvantage.

So, while Canelo might be slower, his technique and skill is better than Khan's and his better footwork will allow him to be in position when Khan comes leaping in throwing his flurries, reaching and off balance.

Faster footwork does not equal better footwork.

I hope khan does beat him, im 99% sure he will get his ass handed to him by the fourth round but I'm tired of seeing this kind of ****. I use to like Canelo but the 155lb cw crap he is trying to impose on everyone was enough to leave a sour taste and now he pulls a welter weight up with a name and a following to fleece the fans. I don't even like Khan and have never thought much of him but I hope he has the greatest performance in the history of boxing may 7th. Canelo can butt a stump.

Well said on the bold and he has horrible reactive speed, he tends to freeze up in a defensive shell when punches start flying.

Benny, this is why I like this fight. I admit I have my issues but Khan needs to get put away, it's annoying that people talk about him this much when his skills or lack thereof doesn't warrant it.

The force from one of Canelo's missing punch will knock Khan out........
