So is the Porter-Thurman main event on CBS or Showtime?

Mares-Montiel wow I see Mares is back to his comeback trail regime. Russell vs TBA that's no surprise how about making Mares-Russell on the undercard instead of these showcase fights. Rodriguez-Williams sounds like fun, if Charlo brother is fighting then it's terrible.

Like a poster posted earlier just go away already PBC. How they ran through $500+ million for these type of cards is ridiculous
If you remember last year, Showtime paired a Chavez Jr-Reyes with a PBC on CBS show, headlined by Frampton-GonzalezJr; two shows in the same building, over the entire day, showcasing 17 fights.

The CBS portion of the show night will air three fights (8:30pmET):
    Thurman-Porter
    Mares-Montiel (CBS opener)

    Followed by Showtime doubleheader (11pmET):
    RussellJr vs TBD
    Rodriguez-WilliamsJr (Showtime opener)

The full card likely ends up with 10 fights (with enough different fights put on the card to fill gaps, in case of early stoppages)

I think that the CBS telecast will precede the Showtime telecast; 8:30pmET/5:30pmPT starts the CBS broadcast that likely goes 2.5 hours, before seguaying to Showtime, @11pmET/8pmPT (about the timing for most Showtime fight cards normally).

What do you have against the Charlo brothers? They box and get Tko's! True up and coming fighters which Canelo wants no part of

Mares-Montiel serving as chief support to Thurman-Porter could potentially do very well on CBS as the card follows the conference tournament championships for college basketball.

If they advertise the boxing during the games that's a lot of eyeballs they will be reaching.

I think it's fair to set the minimum required average viewers at 3M for the show. Biggest PBC fight so far featuring 2 action fighters, first primetime show on CBS, good sports-related lead-in, and you've got the Mexicans involved in the co-main event.

Who cares that this will be a stacked card

It doesn't matter, All that matters is its PBC , It'll have horrible attendance and lose $.

Who the f.uck wants to watch 2 prime WW in one of the biggest fights of the year on a major network with Mares , Russel and Delvin fighting. It'll probably be one of the top 3 televised boxing events this year But none of that matters

this is another sign that PBC is ****** and will FAIL

I think its fair. If they get less than 3 million viewers it will be a disappointment.

Once in a blue moon Haymon puts on a decent fight, decent, but the rest of this card sucks, mares vs montiel? The same guy that got atomized by donaire vs the guy who never fought donaire or rigondeaux? Edwin Rodriguez, this guy is so punch drunk he needs a designated driver to pickup groceries yet hes still to much of a threat for haymon to put in with supersleeze stevenson. And i see gary russel has resurfaced in his neverending war with tba and tbd, to hell with haymon and the pbc.
