This is the same guy who got a gift over Sam Soliman?

yep. IBF rankings are pretty poor. They shouldn't enforce mandatories when the #1 & #2 guys pass, they should simply wait.
Oh ok so Golovkin beating Roman Gonzalez is better than beating a middleweight, got it!Comment

Don't play dumb. The context is one weight class+1lb.
Lets also pretend Narvaez didn't take a bigger challenge by fighting Inoue from two weight classes below than a random top 25 guy at 115.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 02-02-2016, 04:44 PM.Comment

I get what you are saying, but HBO can't just pass on the fight like they did a couple years ago in one of Golovkin's stay busy fights...He is a much bigger star now and they need to showcase him every chance they can, especially when there are big Golovkin fights in the near future....GGG vs Canelo, GGG vs Zurdo Ramirez...maybe in a couple years GGG vs Kovalev or Ward..which would all probably be pretty big ppv events.Comment

You have to understand this: Billy Joe Saunders does not want to fight Gennady Golovkin.Disappointing. I was hoping they'd get Wade to take a step aside and agree to a fight with BJS.
Wade's truly not a bad fighter and is pretty highly rated, but he's so inexperienced. We get to see proof that Haymon lets his guys fight on HBO though, which is great, great news!
Saunders turned down a career high payday already.Comment

Yeah let's talk about context. Canelo will weigh over 170 pounds in the ring against a guy who's never fought over 147 and was getting rocked by Chris Algieri for crying out loud and he's fighting for the lineal middleweight championship? Wade is an actual middleweight ranked #3 by the IBF, Khan isn't ranked at 160 or even 154. I'd give Wade more of a shot than winning than Khan has over Canelo. It's absolutely absurd (it definitely should be a non title match).Comment
