No. Not even close. This is more akin to Cooter/Martinez. With the PPV and all.

Comparable but not quite as bad. Garcia/Salka was a travesty. This one isn't as wide a mismatch, but it's up there and it's on PPV.

Definitely not. Garcia/Salka was like Alvarez fighting the 70th ranked welterweight.

Seriously, that's how horrible that fight was, that with all the terrible mismatches we've seen since, none of them have even come close to that.

I think it's worse due to the fact that it is for the lineal middleweight title, plus these fools have the audacity to put it on PPV.

It is completely different. First Garcia hand picked a bum. Khan challenged Canelo so Canelo is only guilty of saying yes to a mouth watering huge money fight against a smaller but highly regarded fighter. Second Salka is not even ranked in the top 50 in the world. Khan is ranked anywhere from 1st to 7th in the world at 147 so he is a legitimate contender. You are comparing Khan, a respected former champion and world class fighter to Salka, an unranked bum. Their is just no comparison. Does anyone really expect Canelo to turn down a fortune for knocking out cash cow Khan who challenge him to fight? Anyone who votes Garcia vs Salka is the better fight must be a real Canelo hater. The fight will be a huge success because it is a reasonable fight between huge stars. If Khan thinks he can compete with Canelo at 155 why should Canelo turn him down?
