I have Whitaker and Hopkins on my list. There's more to boxing than sitting in front of each other and pounding away. Hopkins perfected his craft and made everyone else look like garbage in his prime. Same with Whitaker. Sweet science...hit and don't get hit.

But there's a difference in the sweet science and the mummy science, Hopkins doesn't do **** all. If I want to watch a pure boxer and atleast be entertained it's between Mayweather and Jones, I'd never pay for a Hopkins fight.

In his prime, he was a ****ing beast that hunted people like big game. That quote in Zab Super Judah's signature by Larry Merchant is dead on the money.

All he used to do was look for a fight. He wanted a toe to toe brawl pier 6 style.

That's the Barerra and Hamed of 1994-96 by the way, when they were ripping through everybody. And the Tszyu of his earlier career when he was showing a lot of good left hand work (before surgery to his left shoulder). And the Hagler of 1977/78 when he was a power-hitting, counter-puncher. And the Hopkins of his roughhouse, inside-fighting, radar-punching terror days of the 1990's. Bowe is easily one of the most complete heavyweights ever, able to fight both outside and inside to a top-class level.

Oh and Kalambay, I've never seen a middleweight better at slipping and countering than Kalambay, he was hugely overlooked and underappreciated for so many years before getting his big chance against Bomber Graham and causing a massive upset (although that was a lot to do with Bomber changing his style from ultra-defensive to uncharactoristically-offensive, but still nobody gave Kalambay a chance in hell against Bomber).
