Deontay Wilder Vs HW Roy Jones (post John Ruiz)

Roy Jones moved up to HW to take the title from John Ruiz, many believed that aslong as Jones was fighting the smaller HW's some included Tyson, Holyfield and etc he would be fine.

No one requested him to fight Lewis due to the sheer size and skill. Wilder has the size, but would he have had the skill to defeat Roy Jones Jr?

I think wilder beats him just because hes alot bigger.

Roy is 5'11 and deontay is like 6'7 lol

Wilder was faster, busier, stronger, and more aggressive than John Ruiz.

Roy would get caught against the ropes and dropped within four rounds.

Size is too much of a factor imo. Although jones was great, think a heavy right hand from wilder puts him away.

If Roy couldn't beat Lewis then he really wasn't the heavyweight champ. Jones was great but beating Ruiz was a stunt. Ruiz was not very good. Wilder's weakest link is his chin but it still takes a hard hitting heavyweight to hurt him. While Jones was a hard punching light heavyweight he was no big puncher at heavyweight. With no power to worry about Wilder could come at Jones hard. Wilder has flaws but he has a long, fast powerful left jab. He has fast hands and great power in his right and good power in his left. He would have a huge height and reach advantage over Jones. This all adds up to a Wilder win by KO.

Both are glass jawed as hell, in fact their jaws aren't developed enough to be glass, more like sand jaws, so it's a question of who lands first.

            I pick Roy

Far to rangy and powerful for Jones...wilder would show zero respect and just unload on him at will....one gets through and knocks Jones out cold....he just has to much physical disadvantages to be able to beat wilder....no chance for Roy Jones

Jones makes wilder break his ankles trying to find him. Wilder could KO him if he hit him but i don't think jones word allow it. Wilder has a long way to go, fortunately for him his power will keep him in every fight.
