Let's compare their performances against their only common opponents, MAB and Algieri.

Pacquiao beat MAB twice, once it was an upset in 2003 which helped Pacquiao's presence as a top 10 P4P fighter. It was his breakthrough win. But let's face it, MAB was exhausted from the fights against Kelley, Morales, Tapia, he had no rest really in terms of soft touches. Pacquiao got a great fighter, P4P, Ring champ, but exhausted and his body had through a lot of hard training for the Hamed, Morales, Tapia and Kelley fights.

Algieri was very green and had a terrible trainer. When your trainer is lost and doesn't know what to say other than letting animals out of the cage while Algieri getting knocked down 6 times and losing handily, then you might as well not have fought Pacquiao at all.

Let's talk about Khan vs MAB now. Leading up to the big event between Khan and MAB, Barrera had finally rested his body. He had a few soft touches and was ready to take on the best fighters again. Of course this fighter he was fighting was Amir Khan, Khan deaded that run immediately. Causing cuts on the Mexican legend, with his blazing handspeed. The fight was over before it even started. What took Pacquiao 11 rounds to do the first time, it took Khan 5 rounds and no need for any rematches.

Khan vs Algieri speaks for itself. John David Jackson, the new trainer in Algieri's corner, Algieri now a full 147 pounder, he had more strength now, packed a bigger punch from being stablemates with the killer himself Sergiy Kovalev, and he was also more determined and down from the hype of the Provodnikov win, which ws also a curse vs Pacquiao because he kinda took Pacquiao lightly. Obviously it was a tough fight for Khan, but that was expected, as Algieri was a new man. But like every all time great before him have done, he prevailed against a tough, new and improved Algieri. Who let's face it, it's not out of the question that he was now on PED's, stunning Khan like that out of nowhere when he couldn't even make Pacuiao flinch, who had his chin softened by JMM.

In short, Khan's wins over MAB and Algieri were greater than Pacquiao's wins over MAB and Algieri. Most will disagree, but anyone who knows anything about the background of fights, fatigue, poor trainer change, lack of rest/too man tough fights in succession, and PED's will know that MAB and Algieri were actually better fighters when they fought Khan.
