I think people really underestimate Fortuna. Now, I have never been a big fan of his awkwardness but that is exactly what gives other fighters BIG problems. Fortuna can't be timed very easily if at all. And this is precisely the reason why Uchiyama will have problems with Fortuna. Yes, he has power but he is very robotic and quite frankly a lot slower than Fortuna. And let's not forget that Fortuna also has power. I am not convinced that this is an easy fight for Uchiyama at all and actually believe that Fortuna has a very good chance to win this fight. Also, Uchiyama's defense isn't exactly a solid one. I am not saying that this is in the bag for Fortuna but I can see him frustrating Uchiyama and I can also see him winning by decision. Fortuna will definitely be the busier fighter and unless he gets caught I don't see him loosing by decision. It should be easy for him to see Uchiyama's punches coming his way. Anyhow, that's my take on it and it's simply an opinion...others might see different.

Uchiyama is a slow starter, old, and his defense is soft. He will have to survive the early onslaught that Fortuna always brings. Uchiyama's strength is that he slowly picks guys apart, goes to the body, can counter, has that devastating power in both hands and can knock guys out late. Fortuna has never been in with anyone with this kind of power and I think he has been matched pretty soft. Fortuna's best win was against Vasquez who he dominated but who also was stopped by Uchiyama.

If Uchiyama can get out of the 3rd or 4th round without being seriously hurt, I see him eventually wearing Fortuna down and stopping him. I think he will get caught during one of his wild barrages when his head always seems wide open.

Man, this Tiliheels guy really has a big woody for Javier. I would like to go see this fight live but I'm having 2nd thoughts. Because if Fortuna wins I don't wanna get sprayed by Tiliheels!
lol screw you man, but i've been waiting for this fight..i dont like to ride the ggg trains or canelo trains.. i like seing a guy from espn to the big leagues..so i feel invested and im rooting strong for him..i emailed the wba nd they made it happen and i really thank them as a fan..i want to see this guy on the p4p list and see if he gets the fairness he deserves

Hopefully the winner will fight Walters and honestly, I think this is a blessing for Walters, as he gets more time to work on bettering himself at 130 while Unchiyama gets a fight after a pretty slow couple of years and it's against a decent opponent. Uchiyama's age does worry me though.

Walters power hasn't carried, which now means he will have to learn to beat these bigger fighters more convincingly using his ability to box opponents, rather than surprise them with his power.
