Gary Russell just fought this same guy the fight before his last. Difference is julian is only 22 with 15 pro fights heading in not 27 with with 25 pro fights like Russell did. Yet you complaining? Worry about haymon fighters who have damn belts or are fighting for belts against mismatched bums. This is a young prospect this is the level of competition you fight as a prospect. I'm more concerned about world champs and top contenders fighting bums.

GBP gave the boxing world Vargas vs Miura, Matthysse vs Provodnikov and Canelo vs Cotto last year. Those are far from set up fights and quality fights that have even produced awards for the promotional company in question.

Also, these cards are prospect watch. In other words, these weren't built to be a spectacle but more or less a sharpening of skill and exposure for these young talents. This is the grooming process for future world champions and contenders, how hard is that to understand? You do realize that several of Haymon's fighters went through this very process themselves when under the GBP banner? Mares, Leo, Shawn, Wilder, etc... Hell, even now Haymon puts on some grossly mismatched spectacles for the sake of granting a fighter exposure. Look at Leo Santa Cruz, he was fighting construction workers on PPV undercards, aren't you glad that atleast GBP isn't loitering their PPV undercards with garbage mismatches?

I'm talking about the typical weekly shows. Those shows are NOTHING but setups. The weekly shows for PBC are heavily made up of solid matchups. The weekly cards for Golden Crap are COUNTLESS fights where Diego De La Hoya, Oscar Valdez, Julian Ramirez, Jo Jo Ramirez fight each others leftovers but not each other. That's the difference. Weekly shows vs weekly shows. I can do a run down of these cards and COUNTLESS setup after setup on the weekly Golden Crap cards with no exception. PBC shows Santa Cruz vs Mares and Broner vs Porter and UNBEATEN prospects going against UNBEATEN prospects where the Golden Crap cards are prospects vs guys with 6 losses and or have lost 2 out of their last 3 fights. THATS THE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
