How so? GGG doesn't need to move up and there really is no "MOVING UP" for Canelo because he already has a 160 belt and he comes to weigh ins at 155, which is in the MW division. So, he can come to the weigh in at 155 and GGG can come in at 160 and the fight is all good.

People who say GGG needs to move up while saying that Canelo is justified in demanding a catchweight are the ones being hypocritical, because Canelo should be weighing in at 160, not 155 but that's his choice to do so. Just because it's his choice to weigh in at 155, doesn't meant that has to be the choice of his opponent as well.

Yeah, only problem is that GGG is the mando and all WBC mando defenses occur at the limit. If Nelo says otherwise, he is free to move on, he'll just be moving on without the belt.

He didn't even want the belt in the first place, lol; his aim, for a while at that point, was to step into the ring with Miguel Cotto.

Canelo Alvarez seems to have no issues comfortably getting down to 155 to fight (how tricky that last pound is is beyond me); with Canelo knowing and understanding that he's the obvious money man in the fight, he and his camp are unwilling to give Golovkin anything (just as Canelo was handled in the negotiations for the Mayweather and Cotto fights).

So, if Golovkin really wants the fight, it's gonna be at 155lbs and a 10/90 split of the pot. Balk at those terms and Canelo moves on to some other money fight (onus would be on the WBC to decide to go with Canelo or the 100k buys man, Golovkin)

I have to agree with this poster. Those terms and weight are very fair. If gg really wants to fight he should agree. The belt isn't really important what's important is that gg and canelo fight in a huge event
