He injured his knee in the KD. If he clinched or ran after that he already had the injury. What he did after has nothing to do with the injury. I had already posted that he injured his knee in the KD. See my posts above.

they are the exact same thing. you are using semantics to defend clinching because some guys you like do it so you are making up unwritten rules to explain their cheating. unfortunately the written rules say its illegal and no amount of fandom will change that.

because the fans need to be pleased, even though the first 11 rounds were pleasing to them as well... that's the logic lol

clinching has been in the sport since the start maybe its you who has the problem. when I went to a gym and started learning I was taught to clinch in certain situations... if clinching is cheating then damn near every boxer is a cheater and it is them who have the problem... take it up with them

Actually Chavez deciding not to clinch in the first 11 rounds had a lot to do with it being a fight too.

Who cares if it ruined one boxer's career? There are still thousands of boxers that would replace him.

The fans were happy. Exactly. Why wouldn't you be? It's because your hero had exactly that boring running clinching style, isn't it?

Please don't tell me you care about these people's well-being. You don't care about Haymon's mismatches. You never cared when Salka was almost put to sleep by Danny "Businessman" Garcia. You never cared when Zerafa was put on a stretcher after being viciously attacked by a huge, rampaging Quillin.

You people need to stop this "I care about boxers' well-being" crap.

That's what the fans say they want, but in the end they back the winners. Personally, I couldn't give a damn about winning, losing, clinching, etc. If a fighter is a cool guy and puts on a good show in the ring that's cool with me. That's why I like Gurerrero, among others who get trashed because they don't win enough. If you're at that level you're pretty damn good. Even if they're not the top 10, most of those guys on tv that people here bash are still above 99.9% of active boxers in the world.
