Yes and no. If we go based on the premise that that money was earmarked for PBC, then however it was lost, hurts PBC's overall bankroll. I guess we'll have to see what happens or if they have more money somewhere. Because based on that holding, they don't have much left to play with.
Waddell investment down to the last 82M? OUT of (521M)

Granted, out of 50+ cards can pick out 5-6 individual fights that have done okay, but the general trend is clearly downwards.
Why would a network be interested?Comment

so haymon invested 0 dollars in pbc, while other people invested 500 million
and its haymon who gets a cut of every purse of the fighters he manages....hmmm this explains why the purses are so high and make no sense economically. lara making a million really means haymon makes 100k or so. that is genius.Comment

Well, based on that article, it suggests $432M was given to Haymon for PBC. Whether him and his partners used all of that on boxing or other ventures is irrelevant, the point is, there isn't much of that money in those holdings left. Like I said, we'll have to see if that's a problem or it's possible he's done everything he's needed to do and that's all he needs to see out the plan.Comment

networks make a lot of mistakes. maybe haymon is hoping they make one more?Comment

And you don't know if it was given all at once or not or how much has been doled out.
You don't know what other ventures are in those funds.
In short, you can't make that premise.Comment

he buys time on network TV to broadcast. probably bought several years at once with the cash.
he makes a percentage of the ad revenue. not sure what that looks like at all or if it is profitable.
haymon boxing is a private company, so they aren't obligated to make anything public. from what i gather, haymon still manages / "advises" his fighters, and isn't technically a promotor, so he's possibly still making something along the lines of the standardish 30%.Comment
