I seen that, the show did really well, which is great b/c it was a great fight. They sold out the lower bowl it looked like. I honestly wish the Jacobs/Quillin fight would've done that well.

Keep in mind the gate reported is based on face value, tickets that get cut in price still get counted at their original. I got that from Jim Boone who's a boxing ticket broker in Vegas. He also gave an interview regarding Golovkin's ticket sales, saying they're legit, if you want it was on the Steve Kim podcast a few months ago. This a guy who has no political affiliation and works with all the promoters.

Regardless, the Thurman/Porter fight was a great success, especially when you consider how long these guys were kept on the shelf. And yeah, for their purse in this day in age, it had a great success/expense ratio. Lets see more of it!

It's always the same people. Always wrong. Every single time. And they're all followers of Steve Kim, Dougie Fischer, Michael Montero & the rest of the PBC haters. At some point they have to ask themselves why are these people lying to me? What is their agenda? But I doubt they'll ever question it

              • I don't understand why people want PBC to fail? It's GREAT for boxing, and boxing fans!

The more television networks showing world class boxing, the better!

It's not just PBC, though; I see people always trying to say how HBO is going down, and how "PBC kicks their asses"!

LOL - boxing fans shouldn't give two shyts about networks ASIDE FROM the fact that they are featuring world class boxing.

Lol people literally becoming fans of networks like they'd become fans of fighters.

I love HBO, Showtime, and PBC - they've all brought great fights over the past 2-3 years.

Yup. Tells me Jake Donovan was spot on with his report the other day regarding a number of boxing en****** colluding against Haymon.

Let me start by saying I have a lot of respect for you for the way you discussed and debated this topic. You made salient, well informed arguments and never let the garbage move you. Kudos.

As for all this, I am just hopeful some posters, posters I think are solid and knowledgeable, will admit honestly why they wanted Haymon to lose this lawsuit. From the beginning they had this paranoia that Haymon was trying to take something away from them that they love for reasons only they know.

The judge basically said Golden Boy was doing the things they accussed Haymon of doing. Will they now start criticizing Golden Boy? I doubt it
