I don't understand why people want PBC to fail? It's GREAT for boxing, and boxing fans!

The more television networks showing world class boxing, the better!

It's not just PBC, though; I see people always trying to say how HBO is going down, and how "PBC kicks their asses"!

im lovin all the boxing, free and paid. the only bad part is when these cold wars get real. When it gets to the point that TRs best guy wont ever fight GBs best guy and GBs best guy wont fight any PBC guys, the rankings start to mean a lot less and thats not good in a sport where ranking can determine pay and prestige.

Ummm... that IS a time buy.

ESPN isn't paying GBP. Tecate is paying for the airtime, production, and license fee for GBP.

PBC could have worked out the same deal with Corona but what could they do with a $100k budget per show? That's nothing to build upon.

That's exactly what I took from it. Don't know why Gomez was trying to make it seem like a time buy is a bad thing. Or maybe he didn't want to call it that because the lawsuit was still pending.

Yeah, pretty big update. PBC has over $120 million a year in guaranteed US rights fees now, the biggest budget in boxing.
