He's going to fight Povetkin and it will take place in America

Wilder is the A side and Povetkins team needs to understand that.

Comments Thread For: Povetkin's Promoter Feels Wilder Will Vacate and Fight Martin

In a sudden turn of events, promoter Andrei Ryabinski of World of Boxing - who promote Alexander Povetkin (30-1, 22 KOs) - now believes WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) is going to vacate his world title to pursue another championship path.

It would, if the WBC allow it. Organizations pick and choose their own rules. There was a time 2-3 years ago when WBC didn't allow unifications for w/e reason.

WBC eyeing the most amount of money and the winner of the purse bid would offer the most amount of money

If Wilder vacates, I will lose ALL respect for him.

C'mon Wilder, Povetkin isn't that scary is he?

Because Povetkin was already made to wait while Wilder had 3 voluntary defenses.. WBC would be right to strip him if he avoids Povetkin again

Wilder will never fight Fury either

****ing We Be Crooks. Not that I don't prefer the Povetkin fight, but I got no problems with guys looking to unify. Just makes a possible showdown with the Fury vs Wlad winner, for all the marbles.

                    I disagree greatly.

Fury v Wilder will be huge, lots of money that Wilder wouldn't miss.

Personally, Fury's style will be easier for Wilder. It's not like Fury has jaw shattering power, unlike Wlad, Wilder will be swinging.. Fury will actually fight a big guy who's not shying away from throwing. Povetkin on the other hand is very aggressive, will give Wilder no breaks. Wilder would literally have to clinch and jab spectacularly.. which is going to be difficult. Povetkin learned a thing or two against Wlad I'm sure, and Wilder's jab isn't nearly as perfect nor powerful as Wlad's

i wonder what prompted this. ryabinsky seemed pretty optimistic last time i heard from him, and wilder made a point of not forgetting his mandatory obligations in the post-fight fracas after szpilka
