Some fight fans cant relate to a skilled fighter who doesnt struggle and doesnt have wars all the time
yes very true. As a GGG fan i feel that too. he is too damn good for his division, just like Ward was for SMW. Ward moved up, i can only hope GGG does so as well.

i can assure you that if Ward dominates Barrera i will give him all the credit in the world after this fight.

Good. I was getting worried it wouldn't happen and Ward would spend too long out of the ring again. This is a good entry fight into the division, and most importantly March still leaves him time to get a couple more fights in before the year is up.

Im Glad Ward moved up.....Outside of Degale and a potential GGG fight, there was nothing at 168.....Arthur Abraham is the number 1 contender and he completely outboxed him....He wasnt ever gonna fight the Dirrell's....Jack has just got on the big stage and Groves, while exciting is a gate keeper(he can beat the lower top ten guys and fringe guys but he'll be hard pressed to win a title unless he gets abraham)

If GGG doesnt fight Canelo, Saunders or Jacobs by mid 2017 he should move up...although he hasnt been in wars, he still will be a 35 year old with 300+ am fights on his odometer and 30 plus pro fights...he is only human....even though Lee and Quillin lost they are still top ten middleweights.....the fighters arent good enough or known enough to lift his profile and better his resume....He is definitely a great talent....just wanna see him in a little tougher.

it looks like both sides are targeting a kovalev fight in november on PPV. late march against barrera, probably a lighter touch / a guy who can't punch / low contact fight in the summer, and then on PPV in november.

that's been the plan all along, according to what i'm hearing. we'll see if things work out that way. tommy morrison knows something about that, hah.

Ward's back, and he's going to use his ring intelligence, speed, and full arsenal of weapons to take apart Barrera and give him his first L.

Kovalev and Stevenson will be there to witness it all firsthand.

The light heavyweight division is heating up!
