    Boxing Politics

IF GGG is unable to fight his Mando due to "Boxing politics" and he is force to vacate his title, will he get the same backlash as Canelo would if Canelo vacates and not fight GGG?

If GGG is unable to fight his mandatory, it won't be because of boxing politics. It'll be because he signed an exclusive contract with a specific broadcaster, despite the fact that a world champion can't guarantee that they'll be able to fight on only that specific network.

Nobody forced GGG to sign an exclusive contract with a specific broadcaster. World champions must fight their mandatories and if the mandatory's promoter wins the purse bid, you have to defend the title on their network.

No, because the situations are not comparable..not to mention that Canelo would be an underdog against Golovkin and and Golovkin would be favored to beat Wade by like 200/1 in a fight that nobody is asking for.

That is the biggest problem on this board...the false equivalency threads.

"How come _____ can do this but its a problem when ______ does this?"

99% of the time the situations are apples and oranges and these are usually biased threads, ironically that try to expose bias.

I thought GGG was a free agent, why would he be forced to vacate?

          Exactly.

The situations are usually a bit similar, but very different. I see them all the time and slap my head and start to respond, but well, what would be the point?

This is just one side of haters trying to justify themselves and demonize others. One big circle.
