Best and worse nations for boxing fans?

For me, the best is British

we support our fighters very well, but we don't tolerate frauds and injustice.

Over on chb we had a petition to get Errrol Spence back into the olympics after he was robbed in 2012, we criticise our own when they avoid tough tests and call it as it is. If one of our prospects is hype, we call them hype.

    Second place would be mexicans

The worst, has to be americans

They don't care about anything other than that their fighters get called the best. If someone gets robbed against their fighters, they spin it that it wasn't a robbery. they defend blatant ducking and refuse to give foreign fighters credit. You wont see them making no petition to help out a foreign fighter. "as long as ours get through" would be the attitude. They also try to make out obvious frauds like wilder are legit.

they are the worst of the boxing fanbase

second place for worst is puerto ricans

The best nation for boxing fans is, by far, the nation of slicks...
The worst: the Russians, evidently -- they get badly intoxicated with vodka and express their gutted xenophobia and racism by means of Cyrillic script only.

The best would have to be the British, no doubt. They support their fighters like a mother supports her talent less ugly kid who wants to be an actor.

        Best - British

        Worst - Americans

Nothing personal against our fat friends of course. It's just that they will insist on claiming that their crappy fighters are the best, and that you have to come to America to "prove yourself" and other such nonsense.

Sky Sports, although in they hurt boxing a lot when they took it off free tv in the 90s, are very effective when it comes to selling fights. Everyone watches sky sports news and they can make any fight look like a big deal if they want. They are pretty much unrivalled in the UK and there isn't really a network in the US you could compare to them.

Also, because most of the big fights in the history of the sport have been between Americans, nationalism doesn't make a lot of sense as a story for those fights. It's very different to the boxing history of other countries, where your guys opponent usually comes from somewhere else.

I'm American, I can't really argue with this.

I been saying for the last few years that UK have the best fight fans. In America, the Sport of boxing itself is a Non Factor, Boxers other than Mayweather, Cotto and Pacquiao can walk around Freely and nobody would have a ***ing clue who they are

It is Pathetic because that American Market is Vital to the sport of boxing.
