JMM should fight Rios in Mexico, then fight Danny Garcia (or Amir Khan) for the WBC Welterweight Championship this fall. If he's healthy, I give him a 50/50 shot in both fights!

          Vacant WBO Belt???

I'm confused, if Ali and Vargas are fighting for the WBO 147 belt, what belt are Manny and Tim fighting for in April?

According to BoxRec, Pac/Bradley is for the belt, not Ali/Vargas.

              Bradley is the reigning WBO.

If he gets a warm up fight under his bet in Mexico and comes through ok. I feel a fight against Garcia wouldn't be too bad. I think JMM fighting intelligence is enough to make that fight interesting.

We seem to hear this kind of talk from JMM all the time though. One way or another, the clock is ticking.

Marquez has overstayed his welcome a bit for me. I think he owes Manny a 5th fight but I also know that will never happen.

Manny could have left things how they were after 3 and had an entirely different trajectory in the last phase of his career.

Marquez would lose to any of the viable young welterweights. And other than them there are no interesting fights left for him at 42/43 year olds. Definitely wouldn't watch him rematch Bradley either.

And the Cotto idea isn't a good fight either.

Bradley was made the WBO "Super" Champion @ 147, so that they wouldn't have to strip him for not fighting Sadam Ali. As a bone to Oscar, they let Vargas fight Ali for the WBO WW Championship.

Marquez, 42-years-old, has been out of the ring since winning a twelve round unanimous decision over former WBO junior welterweight champion Mike Alvarado at the Forum in Los Angeles. Since then Marquez has been dealing with a knee injury and rehabilitation to properly recover.
