    Khan vs Ortiz in March?

Both Khan and Ortiz said that they are returning in March and they are in training camp already. Ortiz has been throwing around hints on social media about fighting for a WBC strap. Khan has the WBC silver and will probably want to take a less risky fight should he fight Garcia in June and the only way Ortiz can get the Garcia fight would be by defeating Khan for the strap. Interestingly, Ortiz would probably be the quickest fighter Khan has ever faced if this fight were to be made.

big mistake if khan takes this fight. Ortiz will knock his azz out and i would bet all my points on it.

I think Ortiz is quick enough to catch Khan and has more than enough fire power to put him out. The other person available for March is Josesito and I don't think that will happen with Khan. I can still see Khan drilling Ortiz in one round if he starts off first, but then again Ortiz is mostly dangerous in the early stages of a fight.

Ortiz had a very short prime and then he started losing and quitting. He is not important or respected anymore. He is probably ranked about 50th by boxrec or maybe lower. If Khan fought him he would have nothing to gain. Boxing fans would continue to lose respect for Khan for yet another big time cherry pick. Khan needs to fight Garcia. If he needs a rust removing tune up then he should try to beat Prescott and avenge the worst defeat of his career. That would do much more to improve Khan's image than beating up loser Ortiz. Khan already beat the hell out of Collazo who knocked out Ortiz in one round. Fighting Ortiz is going backwards.

              trap fight

Say what you about Victor Ortiz, his last fight was just in December, and he's already apparently in camp for a tentative March fight date; Khan hasn't fought last May.

Ortiz is just as big as Khan, about as fast as Khan, and (as a right-handed southpaw fighter) will be walking into the fight with his lead hook as the nastiest shot in his arsenal.

I can see why Khan would think of that matchup being a good pickoff, but he's disrespected the sport too much to honestly take that chance (if Ortiz still has any fight in him.

                Not a bad fight actually.

depends on how shot khan is if he can win or not

prime for prime i would pick ortiz, but he's so past it now, collazo stopped him ffs

Lol, I actually wouldn't mind this fight and don't think Khan would take it. Khan doesn't want to face youth + power. He'll do one or the other but not both.
